BACKGROUND - IAN BARKER
Following early retirement from a Broadcast Operations and Project Management career spanning over 30 years I've decided to turn my hand, (and my attention) to website design, maintenance and ongoing management. My aim is to provide a low cost, highly personalised service to a small number of clients; getting to understand their business goals and thus ensuring that website designs fully support these goals using a wide variety of tools including Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media, eCommerce and Analytics.
HOW WE WORK
I offer a free, no obligation initial consultation to determine your exact requirements and outline the steps I would take to support you achieve your business or personal goals through design and development of your website.
Once you decide to engage me and on what basis, (see my Services below) I will deliver a comprehensive written quotation detailing what we have discussed with you and outlining all deliverables and time-scales as well as the price agreed for my services.
I will then proceed to produce an outline of the website design either on paper or on-line using my design tools. Once complete I will arrange a second meeting to take you through it and capture your feedback and changes.
The development of the website is an iterative process involving reviews and feedback from you as the client. The number of iterations of this development/review cycle will depend upon the complexity of your requirements.
When and only when you are happy with the finished product will I invoice you for payment of the services I have provided and your website will be published live to your chosen Domain location.

Whatever your business needs I am sure I can produce something outstanding for you. All of my services start with a free consultation - ideally at your business premises so that I can begin to understand your business drivers and objectives.
If you already have text, photographs, graphics or video which you want me to use on your website I will be happy to do so. Alternatively I can work with you to produce various assets which will make your site come alive to sell your messages.
I am very flexible in my pricing structure and offer both fixed price services as well as free website design and build based upon signing up to a support and maintenance package over a fixed term. I can also talk with you about a fully bespoke offering if you require something truly different.
All of my offers include a Domain Name of your choice (subject to availability), which I am happy to manage on your behalf or can handover on completion.
